IV All-Russian Competition of Young Scientists

Russian Academy of Sciences, RF Ministry of Defence, RF Ministry of Industry and Trade Ministry, Federal Space Agency, RF Ministry of Education and Science, Higher Attestation Commission and Inter-regional Council for Science and Technology (MSNT) will hold IV All-Russian Competition of Young Scientists on October 16-18, 2012, in Miass, Chelyabinsk oblast.

Competition programme includes:

1. Fundamental and applied problems of science;
2. Science and Technology;
3. New Technologies;
4. Mechanics and Control Processes.

Competition participants: postgraduate students, doctoral students, seekers for degrees of Candidate and Doctor of Sciences.

The deadline for submission of applications for participation in the Competition and manuscripts of scientific papers is July 16, 2012.

As a result of the review of scientific papers manuscripts submitted and published in the Proceedings “Thesis Research Results” (Moscow: RAS, 2012), Inter-regional Council for Science and Technology:

• selects 6 best scientific papers on defense and civil topics, announces winners of the Competition (names of the winners are announced at the opening of IX All-Russian Conference on New Technologies Problems on October 16, 2012);
• awards the Competition winners with Diplomas of Laureates of IV All-Russian Competition of Young Scientists and provides them with financial support for publication of monographs, scientific reviews and guiding technical materials (Moscow: RAS, 2012) performed in the areas of their theses;
• sends authors copies of the Proceedings to the Competition participants; at the request of the authors of scientific papers gives them opinion letters on the recognition of obtained scientific results as a basis for the preparation and subsequent defense of Candidate and Doctorate theses.

MSNT reminds that in accordance with Government Resolution № 475 of June 20, 2011 (p. 10) "papers published in the Proceedings of All-Russian and international conferences and symposiums are referred to as published papers reflecting the major scientific achievements of a thesis" i.e. the Proceedings of IV All-Russian Competition of Young Scientists are took into account by the HAC for a thesis defense.
