News from partners19.10.2011 Dear colleague, On behalf of the MT2012 organizing committee, I am pleased to draw your attention to this orthcoming event, which will be held in Barcelona, Spain, on 27- 29 June 2012, in its 5th edition. The MT2012 Congress is organized by the Department of Nautical Science and Engineering of the Technical University of Catalonia, with the collaboration of the Faculty of Nautical Studies of Barcelona. The aim of the MT2012 is to offer a valid frame in which to present and analyse those research activities developed by public and private companies and institutions. Furthermore, the congress tries to examine those technological innovations stemming from research on maritime activities and transport. It thus represents an effort to coordinate and promote those proposals which appear and foster independently, and to maintain a forum with new groups for discussion on actual needs and general trends in the maritime domain. Congress is to present and discuss contributions, studies, works, and experiences on the most advanced results of maritime transport & technological innovation and research. The official language of the Congress will be English. All accepted papers will be published in hard back form with ISBN number and in a CD. Authors are requested to submit abstracts in English of no more than 300 words by the 30th November 2011 Only electronic submissions of Abstracts will be considered. Allowed formats are Microsoft Word Formats. The maximum size of the attachment is 4 MB. Abstracts shall be submitted as attachment files.
