International symposiums and scientific seminars

  • The international scientific seminar on the problems of the quality of engineering education in accordance with the requirements of the Bologna Declaration (September 2003, Italy)

  • The international training seminar called International Scientific and Technical Cooperation. Experience, Prospects and Educating Specialists. Management of International Scientific and Technical Projects (June-July 2003, Ulan-Ude, the Buryatia Republic)

  • The international seminar called Enhancement of University Management in Contemporary Conditions (September 2003, Barcelona, Spain)

  • Zonal meeting "Russia and the Bologna Process: Objectives, Problems and Prospects" (May 2004, Tomsk)

  • The international seminar "Scientific and Technological Cooperation of Higher Educational Institutions of Former CIS Countries with the Countries of the European Community. Participation in the 6th EU Framework Programme. Experience, Prospects and Educating Specialists" (October 2004, Prague, Czechia)
    The representatives of Russia, the Ukraine, Byelorussia, Kazakhstan, the EU Commission and European experts in the field of scientific management took part in the seminar.

  • The international seminar "Promotion of Research Activity and Academic Mobility between the Russian Federation and the European Union" (Marie Curie FP6 programme) (November 2004, Tomsk);
    Over four hundred participants, the representatives of the EU Commission (heads of Directorates), the members of the EU Embassy in Russia, the British Council, DAAD, Austrian Agency for Promoting Research Projects, and INTAS took part in the seminar.

The international symposiums, conferences and seminars organised by the Russian Association for Engineering Education have always been of great interest for the Russian and international scientists, teachers, employers, students, and all categories of specialists concerned with the issues of the current state and further development of engineering education as a key factor of positive changes in the RF economy.

Over 2, 500 experts from 76 cities of Russia, former CIS states (the Ukraine, Byelorussia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan) and other countries (Austria, the Czech Republic, France, Italy, Greece, Germany, Canada, Spain, Great Britain, the USA) took part in the international symposiums and conferences held by the RAEE in 2003-2005.

International foundations

In order to facilitate international recognition of the results of intellectual activity The Foundation for International Accreditation and Certification Assistance was set up.

The founders of the Foundation were the Russian Association for Engineering Education, the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Association of Technical un Universities supported by the RF Ministry of Education.

Following the order of the RF Ministry of Education and Science, the RAEE on behalf of Russia deals with preparing and signing the Washington Accord on mutual recognition of the systems of public and professional accreditation of educational programmes by the participants of the Agreement.
