A two-day workshop “Vital issues of state accreditation. Assessment of students’ professional competences. Role of employers in the design and execution of educational programs” took place at Tomsk Polytechnic University and Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics on October 10-11, 2016

Organizers:

• Federal State Budget Agency “National Accreditation Agency” (Rosaccredagentstvo);
• National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU);
• Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR University).

Staff members of TPU and the Accreditation Center of the Association for Engineering Education of Russia (AC AEER) participated in the workshop among representatives of other Siberian universities.

AEER President, Prof. Yury Pokholkov, and the Director of the TPU Innovative and Technology Centre for Engineering Education Development, AEER Project Manager, Sergey Mogilnitskyi, gave reports during the workshop. Prof. Yury Pokholkov’s presentation concerned the AEER best practices of international professional accreditation of engineering educational programs. Sergey Mogilnitskyi spoke on the AEER cooperation with industrial companies on professional accreditation of educational programs in line with the professional standards. Both speeches arouse the interest of workshop participants.
