On 10-12 October in Moscow the All-Russian Conference on development of the system of qualifications evaluation and certification was held

The Conference took place on the site of the “Federal Institute for Education Development”.

The Conference was organized, besides the Association for Engineering Education of Russia, by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

The Conference was attended by the representatives of 41 RF Subjects and of Belarus, in all more than 478 people from more than 212 organizations.

Approaches to development of a system of professional qualifications of staff engaged in the industry, including the piloting approach developed and implemented by AEER and Tomsk Polytechnic University, were discussed in detail during the Conference.

The representatives of AEER (more than 10 people) actively participated in the Conference. AEER President Prof. Yury Pokholkov made a welcome speech at the plenary session, and Chair of AEER Accreditation Center Prof. Alexander Chuchalin reported on “Practice of international certification of engineering qualifications for Russian engineers with their followed registration in the APEC Engineering Register”. Leader of the Centre of Certification Andrey Trubitsin organized as a moderator the roundtable discussion on “Development of the Russian system of evaluation and certification of engineering qualifications based on international experience’
