On 17 September 2012 the Expert Seminar "Development of the National Doctrine of Engineering Education of Russia in the New Industrialization" was conducted

The Seminar was held in the AEER Central Office (Moscow). It was conducted by AEER President Prof. Y.P. Pokholkov and it was the second event organised in preparation for the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Approaches to Development of the National Doctrine of Engineering Education of Russia in the New Industrialization" that will be held on 4-6 December 2012 in Tomsk, Russia.

One of the main objectives of this Expert Seminar was to discuss by the expert community of the possible ways of engineering education development in the new industrialization. MSTU MIREA was the co-organiser of the Seminar, with the active support Prof. A.S. Sigov, AEER First Vice-President, Rector of MSTU MIREA.

The heads of MIREA base departments, those who are also the leaders or employees of industrial enterprises and /or engineering companies, participated in the Seminar. As a result of individual and team work of experts, representing both the academic community and the Russian industry, the following results were obtained:

• expert evaluation of the New Industrialization features were made;
• tools and methods to ensure world-class quality of engineering education in Russia were proposed;
• formulations of the strategic objective of development of engineering education of Russia were proposed.

We remind you that the first Expert Seminar in preparation for the Conference was conducted jointly with the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia on 16 June 2012 in Novosibirsk, Russia.
