President of the Association participated in the III All-Russian Conference "Professional Personnel of Russia in XXI century: Experience, Problems and Prospects of Development"

On November 21-22, 2011, Congress Center "Izmailovo" in Moscow hosted the III All-Russian Conference "Professional Personnel of Russia in XXI century: Experience, Problems and Prospects of Development", organized by the Committee on Assistance to Professional and Business Education of the RF Chamber of Commerce and Industry with support and participation of the Committee for Education and Science of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Education and Science, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Moscow City Government and other concerned ministries and agencies.

At plenary sessions and round table of the Conference issues of the development of human resource capacity of the country, state support for professional education development, innovative technology, and education quality management have been comprehensively addressed.

The Conference was attended by representatives of federal, state and municipal authorities, heads of leading educational institutions of higher, secondary and additional professional education, representatives of business organizations from 57 subjects of the Russian Federation.

President of the Association Y.P. Pokholkov took part in the plenary session with the report on ways of ensuring the quality of training in engineering and technology and led the section "Higher Professional Education Quality Management" at which he made the report on principles of development and implementation of innovative educational programmes.

As a result of the Conference participants adopted the resolution with specific recommendations for diminishing personnel shortage, as well as suggestions and recommendations to the RF Government, Ministry of Education and Science, councils and associations of leaders of professional education institutions, employers' associations, youth associations for improving of education in Russia in general and engineering education in particular.
